Our Private Pilot License (PPL) course is the foundation of your aviation journey. Whether your goal is to fly for fun, travel with friends and family, or begin a career in aviation, this program is designed to give you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to take control of the cockpit.


At Altivio Flight, we believe learning to fly should be empowering—not confusing. This course is structured to support students from all backgrounds, with a focus on building strong fundamentals, clear communication, and continuity throughout your training.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Aircraft Control & Flight Maneuvers – From takeoffs and landings to stalls, steep turns, and emergency procedures.

  • Navigation & Cross-Country Planning – Learn how to read aeronautical charts, plan flights, and navigate across real terrain using both traditional and modern tools.

  • Weather & Flight Planning – Understand aviation weather patterns and how to make smart, safe decisions based on forecasts.

  • Airspace & Communications – Master ATC communication, radio phraseology, and airspace awareness.

  • Aerodynamics, Systems & Performance – Gain a solid understanding of how aircraft work and how to operate them safely and efficiently.

  • Ground School – Access in-house or recommended online ground school to prepare for the FAA Written Exam.

Course Breakdown:

  • Flight Hours Required: Minimum of 40 hours (most students average 55–70)

  • Ground School Options: Online or in-person (self-paced or guided)

  • Estimated Duration: 2–6 months depending on your availability

  • Cost Estimate: $10,000–$15,000 (we’ll work with you to build a training schedule that suits your budget)

Prerequisites:

  • Be at least 17 years old (solo flight at 16)

  • Pass an FAA 3rd Class Medical Exam

  • Read, write, speak, and understand English

  • No prior aviation experience required
